Commonplace 11

Another family guy episode is Season 10, episode 12. I cannot find a clip. Anyway, it is similar to the Amish thing. This is about Christian Scientists. Their child has leukemia and they believe in faith healing so they aren't treating the child. Lois and Peter kidnap the child.

Lois says later "What if all of the medical advances and cures are actually answered prayers of those who came before us?" (paraphrase)

In short, it is another commonplace that is held to despite evidence to the contrary (while not all commonplaces have to be wrong of course).

Lois kind of pokes holes in it.
